Window

Yesterday I worked on a window scene.  All the figures turned out nice...but then I tried to paint the window itself and it was just terrible!  Today I carefully cut out the figures and glued them onto a new window.  I like the overall effect because now the figures look like they are sitting on the sill...which they are. Unfortunately, it has been washed out with the scanning process.

This is a quick sketch from my sketch journal that I did of my colored pencil box-a tupperware box that I've kept colored pencils in since high school. I was in high school in the 1980's...so it has been a while.
