Guest Room Sign

The name of one of the guestrooms at a friend's B&B. The top was originally black...but I spray painted it white. The rest is done in acrylics.

Before and After

What might appear to some as a piece of junk...

can actually turn into quite a treasure.

The front of the finished project.

And the back.

Another Game Board

A game board I did. Details on edges and center.

This game is called "Aggravation" and is played with marbles. They make great gifts...to play with or use as a wall hanging.

Little Birds

This is a can that Rachel gave me to paint. She said she wanted chickadees on it. She also wants it to match her living room. I'm almost done with it.
On the opposite side of the can, I hope to paint a Bible verse. Any suggestions?

This is a milk can that a woman commissioned me to paint cats and flowers on.

Fireplace Mural

I did this mural in our living room in an old fireplace mantle. When we bought the house, the entire mantle was painted off white. It is not a usable fireplace, but why not make it an artistic focal point?

I painted this one specifically to match the existing wallpaper border.

Here's a closer view of it.

Wooden Shoes

This was just a fun little project as a gift to my sister, Rachel. Her husband had these plain wooden shoes around for years. I volunteered to add a little interest to them. This is an example of a traditional Dutch folk art called Hindenloopen.

Chicken Milk Can

I found this milk can behind my father-in-law's barn. It had been sitting out in the elements for at least 30 years. It was horribly rusty. I had it sandblasted. And this is what it looks like now. I just did this for my own personal challenge. Could I rescue a rusty piece of junk? Notice the handles. They are frozen in that position from 30+ years of rain, snow, sleet and sun.

John 15:5

Painting I did on canvas. This is one of my favorite verses..so I decided to paint an illustration to go along with the verse.

This now hangs in my dining room.

Game Board

Roses on Cupboard

This is a close up of some roses I painted on a cupboard door for a client.

These are the roses along the bottom of the cupboard.

The finished product (albeit sideways).

Garden Powder Room

This was a very tiny powder room that I painted. It is a garden theme with a picket fence and flowers.

Above is a detail of a dragonfly. Sorry it is blurry. I was very frustrated that I could not get a clear picture of it. One of my goals is to get a better camera!

Guitar Room

I painted this mural for a teenager's room. This particular teen wanted an electric guitar theme. I aim to please!
